The SR & SX Series NEMA 4, 4X and/or 7 & 9 rotary electric actuator was designed solely for applications within the 200 lb × in (model SR) and 300 lb × in (model SX) torque range used in hazardous locations.  These heavy-duty reversing actuators can be used in place of model SD and SDX when the area requires enclosure rating of Class I Groups B, C & D or Class II Groups E, F & G div. I and II.  They can also be used when optional equipment such as 4-20mA control, MODBUS, timers or speed control are required.  These compact actuators are equipped with a spur gear drive and, as in all ICI actuators, can withstand stall conditions without suffering gear failure. The heavy-duty sand-cast aluminum enclosure meets NEMA 4, 4X and/or 7 & 9 specifications and has a thermally bonded ultraviolet resistant polyester powder coating that not only enhances its appearance but also is a tough corrosion resistant coating.

Standard equipment includes 115Vac-1ph motor with thermal overload protection, two limit switches wired for light indication, stainless steel fasteners, 300 series stainless steel output drive, dome style visual position indicator, and spring friction brake.
